Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Research Associate I to join our Antibody Discovery team. As a key member of this team, you will contribute to the discovery and development of novel biologic modalities in support of all therapeutic areas at Gilead.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support antibody discovery projects by conducting antibody sequencing/cloning from single B-cell and hybridoma samples
  • Conduct and analyze data from antibody screening and characterization assays
  • Analyze antibody sequences (Sanger and NGS)
  • Present scientific results at functional team meetings and project team meetings
  • Maintain familiarity with relevant scientific literature

Requirements

  • B.S. in biological sciences, preferably with at least 3 years of relevant hands-on lab experience
  • Ability to learn effectively from training and work independently on assignments
  • Experience in molecular biology techniques
  • Knowledge of antibody discovery platforms (single B-cell, hybridoma, in vitro display)
  • Good written and oral communication skills, organized to track multiple workflows
  • Experience in antibody screening and characterization using biochemical assays and quantitative analysis of protein-protein binding interactions (e.g. ELISA, FACS, Octet) is a plus
  • Mammalian cell culture experience is a plus
  • Experience in flow cytometry is a plus

What We Offer

Gilead Sciences offers a competitive salary range of $92,000 to $120,000, depending on experience and qualifications. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives, paid time off, and a benefits package, including company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans.
