Position Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated Insurance Coverage Associate to become part of our esteemed legal team. The successful candidate will possess 1-3 years of relevant experience, outstanding research and writing capabilities, and must be licensed to practice law in New Jersey or New York. Preference will be given to those with prior clerkship experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform comprehensive legal research and analysis on insurance coverage issues, including policy interpretation and claims resolution.
  • Draft legal documents such as coverage opinions, memoranda, pleadings, and motions.
  • Support all phases of insurance coverage litigation, including discovery, depositions, hearings, and trials.
  • Collaborate with partners, associates, and clients to formulate effective case strategies.
  • Stay updated on changes in insurance law, regulations, and industry trends.
  • Provide strategic and timely advice to clients on insurance coverage matters.

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New Jersey or New York State Bar.
  • 1-3 years of experience in insurance coverage law, ideally within a law firm environment.
  • Exceptional research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with effective multitasking and prioritization abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior clerkship experience.
  • Familiarity with insurance policies and industry regulations.
  • Experience in insurance coverage litigation, including motion practice and courtroom experience.
  • Knowledge of relevant statutes and legal principles governing insurance coverage.
