The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in insurance coverage litigation, with a strong background in risk transfer and construction insurance coverage. Experience in construction defense and construction defect/property damage practice areas is highly desirable. The successful candidate will have excellent legal research and writing skills, as well as strong verbal communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpreting insurance policies and drafting coverage opinions
  • Litigating coverage matters, including motions for summary judgment and appeals on coverage related issues
  • Declaratory judgment actions and other complex insurance coverage litigation
  • Collaborating with the Construction Litigation group to achieve business objectives

Requirements

  • JD degree with excellent academic credentials
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Admitted and in good standing in New York; admission to New Jersey bar is a plus
  • Excellent legal research and writing skills
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Strong professional judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Proactiveness, resourcefulness, and a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task

Cullen and Dykman LLP offers a competitive salary, an excellent benefits package, and a collaborative, friendly environment. The salary range for this role is $85,000 to $150,000. Actual salary will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.
