We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Aid Outreach Coordinator to join our team at Tennessee Tech University. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing a comprehensive financial literacy program for students, as well as providing exceptional customer service and support.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver financial literacy presentations and workshops to students, parents, and community members.
- Provide one-on-one counseling and guidance to students and families on financial aid options, budgeting, and debt management.
- Represent the financial aid office at outreach events, such as high school visits, community fairs, and student orientation.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as Admissions, Bursar, and Student Affairs, to promote cooperative relationships and support student success.
- Stay up-to-date on federal, state, and institutional regulations and policies related to financial aid.
- Provide excellent customer service and support to students, parents, and colleagues.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a related field, such as education, business, or finance.
- Minimum of two years of direct financial aid experience or four years of related professional experience.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of organization and attention to detail.
- Customer service experience in a higher education setting.
- Experience as a presenter or trainer.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision.
