POSITION SUMMARY
The Test & Inspection Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing the sales operations related to testing and inspection services within the organization. This role involves managing sales representatives and executing strategic initiatives to achieve sales objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Formulate and execute strategic sales initiatives aligned with the company’s objectives.
- Lead sales forecasting efforts and establish performance benchmarks.
- Analyze market data to identify customer requirements, pricing strategies, and discount structures.
- Oversee recruitment, training, and performance assessments to enhance the sales team’s effectiveness.
- Coordinate new sales initiatives and manage sales distribution by defining territories, quotas, and targets.
- Allocate sales territories to team members.
- Represent the organization at industry events to promote services.
- Deliver presentations to key clients in collaboration with sales staff.
- Engage with major clients, supporting sales representatives in maintaining relationships and finalizing agreements.
- Facilitate communication between the sales team and operational departments.
- Monitor and manage departmental expenditures to ensure compliance with budgetary constraints.
- Generate regular sales reports detailing performance metrics and opportunities for market expansion.
- Advise on budget and sales spending.
- Maintain a designated sales territory and personal client portfolio as necessary.
- Perform additional tasks as required.
SUPERVISORY DUTIES
This position directly supervises all personnel within the Test & Inspection Sales Department, executing supervisory functions in line with company policies and relevant regulations. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training staff, assigning tasks, evaluating performance, and addressing employee concerns.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or three to five years of relevant experience or training, or a combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents, financial statements, and legal materials. Capable of responding to inquiries from customers and regulatory bodies. Proficient in writing articles and presentations that adhere to established formats. Effective in presenting information to senior management and public audiences.
MATHEMATICAL APTITUDE
Competence in calculating figures such as discounts, commissions, and profit margins. Familiarity with basic algebra and geometry concepts.
REASONING SKILLS
Adept at identifying problems, gathering data, and drawing valid conclusions. Ability to interpret complex technical instructions and manage various abstract and concrete variables.
CERTIFICATIONS
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical demands of this role require regular use of hands for handling tasks, effective communication, and mobility. The employee may need to lift or move items weighing up to 50 pounds and must have specific vision capabilities.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position may expose the employee to varying weather conditions and moderate noise levels.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
