We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Research Scientist to join our Cell and Gene Therapy team at Advanced Accelerator Applications (Italy) - S.p.A. in San Diego, CA. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in the development of innovative medicines for patients with devastating diseases.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and contribute to the development of next-generation cell and gene therapy delivery systems, including the design and implementation of novel vector engineering strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and optimize cell and gene therapy products, including the development of novel viral vectors and gene editing technologies.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of gene expression and regulation, and develop strategies to improve the safety and efficacy of cell and gene therapy products.
- Develop and implement high-throughput screening assays to identify and optimize novel gene editing technologies.
- Prepare and present research findings to internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, research scientists, and external partners.
- Ph.D. in cell and gene therapy, bioinformatics, molecular/cell biology, bioengineering, or related scientific field.
- Minimum 6 years of industry experience in cell and gene therapy research and development.
- Proven track record of leading and contributing to the development of novel cell and gene therapy products.
- Strong publication and patent record in the field of cell and gene therapy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
