Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Outreach Worker plays a crucial role in engaging with individuals affected by substance use disorders. This position involves proactive outreach and relationship-building within the community to promote essential services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outreach efforts in high-density areas to connect with individuals experiencing substance use challenges.
  • Facilitate communication and foster relationships with community partners and stakeholders.
  • Research and identify potential referral agencies, assisting in the development of marketing materials.
  • Deliver informative presentations to agency staff regarding LESC's programs and services.
  • Provide constructive feedback to intake staff regarding referral challenges and client satisfaction.
  • Represent LESC at community events, workshops, and conferences to raise awareness of available services.
  • Participate in Utilization Review Team meetings to enhance service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, area reports, and special projects.
  • Operate the outreach vehicle to canvass neighborhoods for individuals in need of support.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support organizational goals.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $40,000 - $43,000, commensurate with experience.

  • A valid New York State driver's license is required; a CDL is necessary.
