Job Summary

This internship is an excellent opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in manufacturing operations and process improvement. As a Process Engineering Intern, you will work closely with our Production Leadership team to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze and evaluate methods of production to recommend areas for improvement
  • Perform time studies and update Bill of Materials (BOMs) and routings in ERP System
  • Communicate with departments in Operations and all levels of the organization to share ideas and gain feedback related to work processes
  • Support and/or lead investigations to determine options for change and improvement to manufacturing process
  • Develop and implement functional descriptions and process control strategies that improve results and reduce variability
  • Coordinate with process programmers to debug and deploy in the plants
  • Identify and address opportunities for yield improvement, waste reduction, throughput enhancement, and improved process control and consistency
  • Engage with QA team on the evaluation and continuous improvement of in-process and finished product analytical instrumentation
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or related program
  • General understanding and interest in manufacturing
  • Analytical skills, problem-solving mentality
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience collecting and analyzing data

  • Subject to noise, hazards, and oils
