Job Title: Business Development Manager

Job Summary:

Banesco USA is seeking a Business Development Manager to join our South Florida Branches Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for business development activities, generating deposits and loans, and expanding our client base.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Business Development: Develop and grow our portfolio's deposits, loans, and fee income by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Client Relationship Management: Analyze client account activities to determine cross-selling opportunities and expand and retain clients' business.
  • Community and Business Functions: Participate in community and business functions to establish a positive image for the bank and establish referral contacts within the community.
  • Loan Processing: Perform pre-qualification assessments, analyze financial conditions, and present financing requests to Management and/or Loan Committee for approval.
  • Loan Servicing: Coordinate the process of approved loans, ensuring loans are processed and closed according to agreement, and solve issues related to loan processing and servicing.
  • Portfolio Management: Monitor the loan portfolio to ensure safety and soundness and take necessary actions to remedy any deficiencies or gather missing documentation.
  • Banking Relationship Management: Capture the entire banking relationship in a holistic manner, including deposits, loans, and cash management.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Complete all requests from BSA, answer KYC, ECS, and RFI's, and review NSF, overdraft, wire transfer, and BSA requirements.
  • Administrative Tasks: Complete administrative tasks related to customer relationships, including reviewing NSF, overdraft, wire transfer, and BSA requirements.
  • Training and Development: Complete annual training programs assigned and perform other functions and/or duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Three to five years of experience as a Business Banker or in Private Banking, with formal credit training preferred.
  • Skills: Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), strong verbal and written communication skills, and ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Personal Qualities: Strong attention to detail and accuracy, ability to multi-task, strong organization, time-management, and prioritizing skills, and strong customer service skills.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of related State and Federal banking compliance regulations and branch operational policies.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to provide customers with solutions.
  • Independence and Initiative: Ability to work independently and take initiative in daily tasks to ensure assignments and goals are met on time.
