Position Summary
We are in search of a skilled Senior Accountant to become a vital part of our Finance team. The Senior Accountant will oversee our accounting functions on a daily basis, which encompasses the preparation of financial statements, maintenance of the general ledger, and management of accounts payable and receivable.
Key Responsibilities
1. Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger upkeep, and month-end closing activities.
2. Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance reports, and budget forecasts to evaluate the company's financial health and pinpoint areas for enhancement.
3. Manage the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts while ensuring adherence to GAAP and regulatory standards.
4. Collaborate with various teams to refine financial processes, strengthen internal controls, and promote operational efficiency.
5. Assist in annual audits and tax submissions by providing precise and timely financial information and supporting external auditors as required.
6. Develop and sustain financial models and KPI dashboards to aid in financial planning and analysis.
7. Mentor and guide junior accounting personnel, fostering a culture of ongoing learning and professional growth within the team.
8. Stay informed on industry trends, accounting standards, and best practices to proactively suggest improvements to financial policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience.
- In-depth understanding of US GAAP financial accounting and reporting.
- Familiarity with NetSuite.
- Experience in accounts payable and receivable.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and analytical abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA certification and/or experience in public accounting.
- At least 2 years of experience, ideally in the software/SaaS sector.
- Knowledge of international accounting standards.
