Civil Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team at Goodwin Recruiting. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing projects, developing proposals, and overseeing client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of projects
  • Proposal Development: Develop and submit proposals to secure new business
  • Client Development and Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients
  • Funding Application Writing and Grant Administration: Assist with writing and administering funding applications and grants
  • Development of Design Drawings, Specifications, and Bid Documents: Create and manage design drawings, specifications, and bid documents
  • Development of Project Plans, Schedules, and Budgets: Create and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets
  • Managing Site Plan Design, Infrastructure Design Support, Drainage Plans, and Drafting and Calculations: Oversee the design and development of site plans, infrastructure, drainage plans, and drafting and calculations
  • Oversight of Junior Staff: Supervise and mentor junior staff members

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering
  • Registered Professional Engineer
  • Experience in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or another drafting platform
  • Previous engineering experience desired, 10+ years
  • Driver's license and reliable personal transportation
  • General computer literacy, with working proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • A general aptitude and desire to work in a flexible office environment where there will be a variety of duties
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
