Job Summary:

The Civil Engineer II will work under general supervision to perform civil engineering work for the Town of Windsor. This includes designing, developing, reviewing, and coordinating all municipal construction projects assigned. The successful candidate will align with the Division's strategy, mission, and vision by coordinating all civil engineering aspects of public improvements for the town.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, review, and coordinate all municipal construction projects assigned.
  • Align with the Division's strategy, mission, and vision by coordinating all civil engineering aspects of public improvements for the town.
  • Work with a team of Civil Engineers and other staff members to achieve project goals.
  • Conduct site inspections and monitor compliance with approved engineering plans and specifications.
  • Review designs submitted by private developers and/or technical consultants for compliance with town standards.
  • Communicate effectively with developers, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve project issues.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Two years of experience as a Civil Engineer I for the Town of Windsor or five years of progressively responsible civil engineering experience.
  • Current Colorado Driver's License or ability to obtain one upon hire.
  • Engineering in Training (EIT) certification.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
