We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Records Clerk to join our team at Catholic Health Service. As a key member of our health information management team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of patient records.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare medical records for scanning and indexing, ensuring all necessary documents are included.
  • Conduct quality reviews of scanned documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Upload and accept batched records for completeness, maintaining a daily productivity log of scanning and indexing activities.
  • Scan and index health and administrative information into our electronic health record system, adhering to HIPAA policies and procedures.
  • Analyze inpatient and outpatient records for physician deficiencies and enter them into the HER.
  • Protect patient confidentiality and maintain access to computer files and access codes.
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Knowledge of Electronic Medical Record Systems.
  • Ability to operate a scanner, microfilm reader/printer, copy machine, and fax machine.
  • Previous clerical experience in a hospital or doctor's office preferred.
