Job Summary:

As a Medical Assistant at FlexStaff, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care under the supervision of a physician or clinician. Your responsibilities will include preparing treatment rooms, interviewing patients, and performing various clinical and administrative tasks to support the operational needs of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, ensuring cleanliness and availability of necessary equipment and supplies.
Interview patients to obtain medical information and perform measurement and screening procedures.
Prepare patients for examination and treatment, including obtaining vital statistics such as height, weight, blood pressure, and temperature.
Record findings in patient medical records and inform clinicians of any relevant information.
Obtain specimens from patients as directed by clinicians, and complete requisitions, labels, and routes specimens according to established procedures.
Assist clinicians during examinations, procedures, and treatment as required.
Ensure patient safety and comfort by securing required supplies, tools, and equipment for specific procedures.
Participate in patient registration, scheduling, and confirming appointments, as well as processing insurance forms and other documentation.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Successful completion of a six-month to one-year course in Medical Assisting at an accredited school, or 1-3 years of medical assistant experience required.
