Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Manager to join our team at the Mauricio Gaston Institute for Latino Community Development and Public Policy. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and monitoring grant activities related to the Mass Department of Health, BSAS grant-funded project "Understanding the Substance Use/Addiction-Related Needs of BIPOC and other Priority Populations".

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the project in accordance with the submitted proposal to the DPH.
  • Support the writing, revision, and submission of final reports to funders.
  • Work with program evaluators to collect and analyze programmatic data for the purpose of program evaluation and reporting to funding agencies.
  • Coordinate and submit Institutional Review Board (IRB) proposals for research approval.
  • Assist with qualitative research, including protocol design, participant outreach, meeting organization, and facilitation.
  • Perform qualitative data analysis and draft reports of final findings.
  • Conduct research on substance use-related topics and audience demographics to inform communication strategies and campaign development.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Public Health or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of work experience in academic program management.
  • Prior experience in grant proposal writing and grant administration.
  • Prior experience with qualitative analysis methods and data management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work cooperatively and effectively with university faculty, staff, and students.
  • Experience working directly with community-based organizations personnel and community members.
  • High degree of initiative, self-direction, and resourcefulness.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to instruct and guide students in writing projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in standard office software systems, including Microsoft Office and qualitative data analysis software.
What We Offer

This is a part-time (0.66 FTE or 25 hours/week), benefitted position for one year, with the possibility of renewal contingent on funding and university needs.
