Film Tampa Bay is a prominent entity within one of the top 25 markets in the United States. As a not-for-profit, public-private partnership under the umbrella of Visit Tampa Bay, our mission is to attract, facilitate, troubleshoot, and permit filming activities in the Hillsborough County area.

Position Overview
The Marketing Manager will collaborate closely with the film commissioner to devise strategic marketing initiatives aimed at enhancing brand visibility and expanding our social media footprint. This role encompasses overseeing marketing campaigns, analyzing market trends, curating social media content, and editing video materials. The individual will be responsible for fostering collaborative relationships with partners, the film community, and cross-functional teams to ensure the execution of cohesive and impactful marketing strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Disseminate video content, articles, photo collections, and more across relevant social media platforms utilizing the Adobe Suite.
  • Collect and analyze data from various social media analytics tools to generate precise reports for industry stakeholders.
  • Enhance media exposure by distributing press releases, crafting story pitches, organizing media familiarization trips, and coordinating site visits with local, national, and international media.
  • Compose, edit, and circulate a monthly newsletter summarizing the previous month's filming activities, events, and initiatives.
  • Produce a monthly podcast series featuring local and regional production industry professionals, thereby increasing visibility among Film Tampa Bay's target demographics. Create short video clips from these podcasts for social media sharing.
  • Write and edit weekly blog posts related to industry developments, local happenings, and Tampa Bay productions.
  • Supervise the Marketing Coordinator, manage Film Tampa Bay's online merchandise store, network with industry professionals and marketing agencies, and undertake occasional travel.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Marketing, Mass Communications, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience in marketing.
  • Proficient in all social media platforms relevant to marketing, data analysis, and performance metrics.
  • Exceptional writing and editing capabilities.
  • Expertise in Adobe Suite and other web and production software.
