JOB SUMMARY


We are seeking seasoned professionals to assume the role of Senior General Ledger Accountant within our expanding team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparation of monthly journal entries and accruals in compliance with SOX regulations.
  • Recording fixed assets and managing associated depreciation/amortization schedules.
  • Collaborating proactively with team members and management.
  • Ensuring general ledger accuracy through monthly account reviews and reconciliations.
  • Executing month-end close processes to deliver precise results within deadlines.
  • Overseeing cash management and credit card applications, along with related bank reconciliations.
  • Conducting inventory analysis and account reconciliations.
  • Researching and preparing audit requests for both internal and external auditors.
  • Responding to ad hoc requests for financial data and operational analysis utilizing various reporting tools.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by the Division Controller.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position may entail supervisory responsibilities in alignment with company policies and applicable laws.

Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training staff; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; and addressing employee concerns.

Supervision of accounting personnel may be required as necessary.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill each essential duty effectively. The following qualifications are indicative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA or MBA preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of General Ledger and reconciling GL to sub-ledgers.
  • Experience with advanced ERP systems (Infor, SAP, Oracle, Great Plains, MS Dynamics).
  • Exceptional analytical and modeling capabilities, including advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.) and the ability to manipulate and analyze large datasets.
  • Comprehensive understanding of month-end processes and underlying accounting principles.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills with a knack for innovative recommendations for enhancing financial and operational processes.
