Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Regal Rexnord. The successful candidate will be responsible for determining vendors, negotiating prices, and expediting orders to ensure timely delivery of stock and non-stock supplies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Purchasing and Negotiation: Responsible for purchasing and negotiating materials from vendors, documenting pricing, and completing purchase order forms.
  • Vendor Management: Works with the current vendor base to understand their process, improve quality, delivery, and pricing, and evaluates vendor performance.
  • Order Management: Follows up on back orders, expedites delivery of orders, and makes special arrangements for delivery, communicating the expected delivery date to the department.
  • Market Research: Keeps abreast of market and product developments and interviews representatives for potential new sources of supply.
  • System Maintenance: Maintains the computer system on pricing and vendors to ensure accurate information.
  • Team Support: Substitutes for other buyers during vacation or absences and may represent the department in meetings or activities related to purchasing.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree and 0-2 years of experience preferred, with a BS in a related field highly preferred.
  • Skills and Competencies: PC literate, operating knowledge of ERP systems, SAP preferred, Excel experience a must, and clear oral and written communication.
