Director of Banquets

Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Banquets to join our team at the Interlocken Hotel & Spa. As a key member of our banquets team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of banquet operations, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction, and driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Represent management at functions and ensure seamless execution
  • Determine set-ups in conjunction with the Director of Catering & Conference Services
  • Coordinate functions with service staff, culinary leaders, and stewarding supervisor
  • Monitor food quality and courteous performance of the entire banquet staff
  • Minimize waste and optimize food costs
  • Brief waiters on functions and procedure of service
  • Establish high standards of quality service and maintain them through effective training and continuous upgrading
  • Inspect function rooms and write work orders for the Engineering Department
  • Maximize profits in the department through effective management techniques
  • Stay up-to-date with new food and wine trends
Requirements:
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in a hotel banquet senior management position
  • High School Degree or Equivalent; Some College Preferred
  • Exceptional people skills and ability to perform professionally under high levels of stress
  • Computer skills required
  • Ability to lift/pull/push/carry up to 50lbs without assistance
  • Ability to stand/walk/sit/move for entire shift
  • Bi-lingual preferred but not required
  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
