Banquet Houseman

Join the Garden of the Gods Resort and Club team as a Banquet Houseman, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service standards, maintaining room presentation, and ensuring guest satisfaction.

• Collaborate with the Banquet Manager and Banquet Captain to receive specific instructions and section assignments for each event.
• Independently set up banquet rooms to meet Club and Resort standards, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for our guests.
• Pre-arrange all necessary equipment, china, and supplies for events, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
• Assist with the transportation of supplies, equipment, food, and beverages to various venues across the property, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.
• Ensure all audio-visual needs are met and tested prior to events, guaranteeing a smooth and enjoyable experience for our guests.
• Provide exceptional service by assisting with last-minute client requests and changes, demonstrating a proactive and flexible approach.
• Perform thorough clean-up and sanitation activities for food and beverage storage facilities, maintaining a high level of cleanliness and organization.
• Keep food and beverage product, equipment, and storage facilities clean and orderly, adhering to strict health and safety standards.
• Thoroughly clean all event/meeting rooms before and after banquet events, including dusting all woodwork, removing trash, and vacuuming as needed.
• Report any hazardous conditions or broken equipment to the Engineering Department immediately, ensuring prompt attention and resolution.
• Deliver timely refreshments during banquet event breaks, maintaining a high level of service and attention to detail.
• Complete any additional duties assigned by management, demonstrating a willingness to adapt and contribute to the team's success.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months of job-related experience.
• State of Colorado (or equivalent) Safe-Serve Certification/TIPS Bar Certificate required.

• Indoor setting with overhead lighting and comfortable ventilation.
• Occasional work in all areas of the property, both inside and outside, possibly in inclement weather.
