About the Role: Vaco is seeking a dedicated professional to oversee and manage the capital investment processes and governance within the organization. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective management of capital assets from the initial project phase through to completion. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the accounting team to maintain accuracy in capital expenditures, depreciation, and ongoing capital projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the capital asset request process, collaborating with Financial Planning & Analysis and business units to assess potential Return on Investment (ROI) scenarios.
  • Coordinate with the accounting team to ensure accurate tracking of project costs and timely application of assets into service.
  • Promote cross-functional collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in the overall capital budgeting process, monitoring actuals against budget and facilitating reforecasting efforts.
  • Drive enhancements in productivity and efficiency through process improvements and technological solutions, while fostering transparency and control in leadership.
  • Advise management on updates to accounting policies concerning capital assets.
  • Conduct retrospective analyses related to capital assets as required by management.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • 5-7 years of experience in asset accounting.
  • High proficiency in accounting principles, general ledger entries, and accounting processes, with experience in SAP and Oracle preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong technical and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
