Comprehensive Family Support Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Comprehensive Family Support Specialist to join our team at Community Action Partnership of Strafford County. The successful candidate will work closely with families to provide support, education, and resources to help them overcome challenges and achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish trusting relationships with families and assess their resource needs
  • Provide families with support, education, and resources to help them manage crisis situations and develop healthy coping skills
  • Facilitate parents' and guardians' participation in the development of an Individual Family Support Plan
  • Lead play groups, support groups, and other community events to promote family development and well-being
  • Act as an advocate for child and family, addressing unmet needs and providing resource navigation
Requirements:
  • Minimum of High School Diploma and relevant experience working with families and children
  • At least two years of related experience in service delivery to families at risk of abuse or neglect
  • Knowledge of community resources in Strafford County
  • Advanced computer literacy, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
