Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Specialist to join our team at Intercept Health. As a Residential Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing a structured therapeutic environment for children and adolescents in need of behavioral, emotional, or developmental support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the formulation and implementation of resident treatment plans, working collaboratively with the Program Manager and other team members.
  • Model positive values, attitudes, and behaviors to develop socially effective skills in residents.
  • Provide individualized support and guidance to residents, promoting their emotional and behavioral well-being.
  • Collaborate with the Program Manager to ensure a safe and supportive living environment.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. with at least six months of experience working with children, or an Associate's Degree and at least three months of experience working with children, or a Bachelor's Degree in a Virginia Department of Health Profession's approved Human Service degree.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, adolescents, and adults.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to work varied shifts and respond to changing situations.
