Job Overview

Personal Touch Food Service is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional food and service in a courteous environment, using current food trends to produce quality food/menu products and achieve strong financial results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine operational needs, level of service, and changes in service to meet or exceed customer and administrators' satisfaction.
  • Develop effective menus to meet the operation's needs, with food production charted and leftover foods accounted for.
  • Supervise production of all food items daily, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
  • Cross-train staff on operational procedures, health and safety issues, and sanitation to create an effective and efficient operation and work environment.
  • Hire and manage staff, recruiting, interviewing, hiring, scheduling, and evaluating employees.
  • Assist with budget development, analyzing and monitoring costs for fiscal control, and monitoring receivables, payables, and cash to provide fiscal responsibility.
  • Order food, supplies, and equipment to meet operational and contractual goals, practicing fiscal responsibility.
  • Logistics planning, including food transport to various points of service and/or venues.
  • Cash controls and effective communication with corporate, preparing and executing inventory, payroll, sales reports, ledger, and P&L forms.
  • Monitor and supervise operation, ensuring food and physical safety regulations and directives are met.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in food service management, food and nutrition, business management, or equivalent experience in institutional/commercial food operations.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in food service management, with increasing supervisory positions and responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic math at a high school graduate level.
