Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cook/Delivery Driver to join our team at Personal Touch Food Service. As a key member of our food preparation and delivery team, you will be responsible for delivering food and supplies to various locations while maintaining the highest standards of quality and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain food temperatures during transport to ensure the quality and safety of our products.
  • Unload and load delivery trucks, ensuring efficient and safe operations.
  • Responsible for receiving and verifying deliveries, ensuring accurate quantities and quality.
  • Ensure all supplies are stored properly in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Plan and execute food preparation, defining steps for successful food preparation and delegating responsibilities to kitchen staff.
  • Sample and evaluate food to ensure conformance to recipes and standards of taste and appearance.
  • Maintain an awareness of kitchen staff productivity and ensure each employee stays on task with their individual responsibility.
  • Ensure appropriate supply levels through effective ordering and inventory monitoring.
  • Complete and maintain accurate daily production records and inventory files.
  • Monitor kitchen environment, including storage temperature of food products, water temperature in dish machine, and cooler and freezer temperature.
  • Responsible for sanitary conditions in all work areas, meeting or exceeding health department requirements.
Requirements
  • Five years of cooking experience in the food service field, with one year in a supervisory capacity or culinary degree.
  • Knowledge of foodstuffs and food production experience necessary.
  • Basic math skills to calculate production and recipes for guest counts.
  • Ability to work at a moderate to fast pace.
  • Clean driving record and valid driver's license.
Physical Requirements
  • Occasional sitting, constant standing, frequent walking, frequent bending, frequent lifting up to 50 lbs, frequent carrying with both hands up to 50 lbs.
Working Conditions
  • Occasional exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity or extremes thereof, occasional work near moving mechanical parts.
