Job Title: 2nd Shift Maintenance Mechanic

Tina's Burritos is a leading CPG brand of frozen single serve burritos in America, owned by Camino Real Foods, Inc. Our Los Angeles, CA factory produces a million budget-friendly burritos daily, serving burrito lovers who appreciate great taste, convenience, and quick meals filled with important daily nutrients.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled 2nd Shift Maintenance Mechanic to oversee the performance and maintenance & repair of production machinery in our manufacturing plant. This includes equipment maintenance and continuous improvement of processes.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines.
  • Thoroughly clean machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary.
  • Continuous Improvement including oiling and lubricating moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance.
  • Troubleshoot and record and report damaged, worn, or broken parts.
  • Order and install replacement parts for machines.
  • Identify the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines and read blueprints if necessary.
  • Repair broken machines quickly and efficiently, including plumbing, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Experience with Conveyor Material handling.
  • Clean, organize, inventory, stock, and maintain shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.
  • Be knowledgeable of electricity and perform electrical repairs.
  • Use lockout/tag out procedure to isolate equipment prior to working on unit.
  • Help with start-up and shutdown processes.
  • Ensure food safety is not adversely affected by maintenance activity.
  • Support production in hitting target goals.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Be flexible and work on weekends.
Requirements
  • Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills.
  • Work well independently and with others.
  • Good communication skills, bilingual a plus.
  • Organized with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment.
  • High school diploma, GED, vocational school, or related experience.
  • Braising and welding and electrical skills a plus.
