About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sourcing Manager to join our team at Bob's Discount Furniture. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a newly established function, where you will play a critical role in shaping our sourcing strategy for the case goods category.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management: Collaborate closely with the Merchandising team to understand product needs and trends, ensuring that supplier strategies align with the company's product roadmap.
  • Supplier Prospecting & Process Development: Proactively identify and engage with potential new suppliers, expanding the company's sourcing options.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Merchandising team to ensure sourcing strategies meet the evolving needs of the product development pipeline.
  • Operational Excellence & Supplier Performance: Monitor and manage supplier performance, including quality, delivery, and service levels.
  • Leadership & Change Management: Lead efforts to establish the sourcing function within the organization, including setting goals, defining metrics, and reporting on performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in global sourcing with a proven track record.
  • 5-10 years of experience in sourcing, with at least 3 years in case goods or related industries.
  • Proven experience in supplier management, negotiation, and contract management.
  • Experience managing domestic and international vendors and manufacturers.
  • Strong understanding of case goods- materials, construction, manufacturing processes, and manufacturing market trends.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and implement sourcing processes in a dynamic and evolving environment.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a startup or a rapidly growing company.
  • Knowledge of sustainability and ethical sourcing practices.

Compensation

$100,000 - $130,000
