Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Supervisor to lead our food department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a large team, ensuring food production meets strict quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

Main Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of food production staff to ensure food is produced and assembled in accordance with FDA, USDA, HACCP, and airline specifications.
  • Ensure on-time and accurate food production to meet Kitchen Ready Times.
  • Conduct daily manpower planning and adjust as necessary to ensure efficient allocation of labor.
  • Maintain Knife Log and ensure compliance with Knife Policy.
  • Develop and implement operational procedures and protocols to enhance efficiency, safety, and quality control.
  • Manage scheduling, payroll, and staffing requirements to meet operational needs while controlling labor costs.
  • Analyze performance metrics and financial data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Resolve customer complaints and inquiries promptly and effectively, demonstrating a commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the food department.
Leadership
  • Train, mentor, and motivate staff to uphold high standards of performance, professionalism, and customer service.
  • Ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, and directed.
  • Plan, implement, and control the cost budget in the area of responsibility; initiate and steer corrective actions in case of deviations.
  • Participate and support company-sponsored initiatives such as GQS, HACCP, Lean Manufacturing, Employee Safety, and CBase.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent knowledge required.
  • One to three years of related work experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • ServSafe certification preferred.
  • Proven analytical and leadership skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), FDA, USDA, and EPA regulations.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications.
  • Ability to work in a refrigerated environment.
