Position Overview:
The Peaks Care Center is seeking a dedicated Rehabilitation Unit Coordinator.

Incentives:

  • Shift Differentials: Ranging from $2.00 to $4.00

Role Summary:
The Unit Coordinator plays a vital role in assisting the Director of Nursing (DON) with the planning, development, implementation, evaluation, and management of daily operations within the nursing department, ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Nursing Care Management:
    Inform nursing staff of new admissions, expected arrival times, and room assignments. Ensure that licensed nurses, certified nursing assistants, and nurse aide trainees provide direct nursing care.
  • Resident Monitoring:
    Conduct daily rounds to assess residents' needs and collaborate with physicians as necessary.
  • Medication Oversight:
    Monitor medication administration and treatment schedules to ensure compliance with orders.
  • On-Call Duties:
    Participate in on-call responsibilities alongside other nursing leadership, with a compensated on-call rotation.
  • Care Planning:
    Consult with residents, families, and physicians to develop comprehensive care plans.

Administrative Duties:
  • Assist in coordinating nursing services with other resident services to maintain continuity of care.
  • Participate in the quality assurance program for the nursing service department.

Infection Control:
  • Oversee the development and implementation of the infection control program, ensuring compliance with CDC, OSHA, and local regulations.
  • Monitor infection control practices among staff and residents.

Personnel Management:
  • Assist the DON in assessing staffing needs and selecting nursing personnel.
  • Conduct daily evaluations of nursing staff performance and report findings to the Director.

Qualifications:
  • Must possess a valid RN Nursing Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Must hold a current RN nursing license.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting is required.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Compensation:
The wage range for this position is $40.00 to $52.78, depending on experience.
