Program Coordinator (Overnight) Job Description

Lenox Hill Neighborhood House is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Program Coordinator (Overnight) to join our Shelter team. As a key member of our 24-hour program, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and supervision to operational staff during overnight shifts
  • Deescalate on-site crises and conflicts through effective problem-solving and conflict resolution
  • Monitor access control systems and coordinate with program assistants, security, and maintenance staff
  • Ensure daily operations, including meal service, front desk reception, and programming, are conducted in a client-centered and effective manner
  • Handle administrative, programmatic, and operational assignments, including database reporting and entry
  • Support clients with the shelter intake process and identify priority concerns and additional supports as needed
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients, including greeting and orienting them, fielding questions, and responding to their needs
  • Maintain necessary documentation and report incidents promptly
  • Be available for on-call duties on a rotating schedule
  • Collaborate with Food Services, Facilities, Social Services, and other departments to ensure smooth operations
  • Assess and maintain operations service goals and priorities with the Shelter team
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as social work, behavioral health, or residential support
  • Relevant experience in homelessness services, behavioral health, or residential support
  • Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluency in Spanish is ideal
