Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Access Representative I to join our team at Arkansas Children's Hospital. As a key member of our Centralized Scheduling and Patient Access Center, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a smooth registration process for our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule patient appointments and ensure referrals are obtained in a timely manner.
  • Meet or exceed productivity and accuracy standards, ensuring seamless clinic flow and optimal patient communication.
  • Engage with patients, families, and visitors to provide a positive first impression and enhance the patient experience.
  • Complete registration and discharge activities, including co-payment collection, MyChart activation, and insurance verification.
  • Collaborate with clinical partners to optimize patient communication, clinic flow, and ongoing care.
  • Actively participate in activities to enhance the patient experience, including encouragement of the patient satisfaction survey.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Administrative support experience, preferably in a healthcare setting, is highly desirable.
  • Ability to register patients in multiple centers and demonstrate flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
