Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Associate to support the nonclinical and process development of novel drug products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemistry and analytical techniques, with experience in biochemical synthesis and characterization of novel protein/polymer conjugates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct independent experiments following established laboratory technical procedures.
  • Perform analytical method execution for product characterization and release testing, including reverse phase and SEC HPLC, light scattering, spectrophotometry, and biolayer interferometry/surface plasmon resonance.
  • Learn and implement cell assays to assess conjugate activity.
  • Reaction and formulation condition screening and optimization.
  • Synthesis and analytical method characterization for additional product pipelines.
  • Maintain accurate and well-organized laboratory records, worksheets, and notebooks.
  • Comply with company Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies, procedures, and practices.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • MS with 0-2 years post-grad industry or academic experience or a BS with 2+ years of industry experience in Chemistry, Chemical Biology, Biochemistry, or a related discipline with a strong synthetic and analytical background.
  • Prior experience in chemical synthesis and analytical techniques in a research or production setting.
  • Able to conduct research with careful attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Able to communicate effectively with scientists across multiple disciplines.
  • A dependable, self-starter capable of working independently within a small team.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Prior experience operating and developing assays using liquid chromatography is preferred.
