Your responsibilities will include:

  • Responding to service orders related to water management.
  • Assisting customers with their water service needs, including turning water on and off.
  • Investigating meter-related issues and providing solutions.
  • Engaging with customers in the field, ensuring their concerns are addressed.
  • Performing physical tasks such as changing curb stops and meter boxes.
  • Utilizing technology to read meters that may have been missed by automated systems.
  • Installing and removing meters as required.

This position is physically demanding, and you should be prepared to work in various weather conditions. You will spend a significant amount of time in your vehicle, traveling to different locations to complete work orders.

As a representative of our city, excellent customer service skills are essential. You will encounter situations where customers may be frustrated, and your ability to handle these interactions with professionalism is crucial. If you prefer to avoid conflict, this role may not be the best fit for you.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • At least one year of relevant field experience or a combination of education and experience.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • A valid Texas Driver's License is mandatory.
