Job Summary

The YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Aquatics Director to lead our swim programs and ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for our members. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our aquatic facilities, including pool maintenance, lifeguard supervision, and swim lesson instruction.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement swim programs for all ages and skill levels
  • Supervise and train lifeguards and swim instructors
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards
  • Maintain accurate records and reports
  • Collaborate with other departments to promote aquatic programs and services
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. recreation, education, or a related field)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in aquatic management or a related field
  • Current lifeguard certification and CPR/AED certification
  • Ability to work a varied schedule, including evenings and weekends
