SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Finance Operations Manager plays a crucial role within Noonday's senior leadership team, responsible for steering a top-tier Accounting and Finance department.

This position oversees all financial and human resource functions, ensuring precise reporting and adherence to regulations while delivering strategic insights to the executive team.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

GAAP and Tax Financial Management: Supervise all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems to guarantee accuracy and compliance with applicable GAAP standards in QuickBooks Online.

Ensure timely and precise monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.

Implement internal audit best practices to safeguard against fraud and inaccuracies.


Management Financial Reporting, Modeling, and Forecasting: Provide support to ownership and executive leadership through comprehensive management reporting.

Coordinate financial planning and analysis, including the development of forecasting models.

Examine cash flow and variances, providing insightful explanations.

Maintain oversight of daily accounting operations and ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.

Assist with special projects and cross-departmental teams by supplying accurate data and expense management.


Payroll and Human Resource Management: Direct payroll and benefits administration.

Collaborate with leadership to update employee policies and recommend benefits.

Support leadership in recruitment and personnel matters.


Accounts Payable and Sales Tax: Ensure the efficient functioning of Accounts Payable and Sales Tax reporting.

Oversee financial transactions with Artisan Business Partners.


Purchase Order Tracking, Inventory Accounting, and Inventory Forecasting: Reconcile inventory with internal systems and third-party fulfillment providers.

Conduct financial analysis and provide insights on inventory changes.

Work with the Product Team to monitor purchase order deliveries and ensure inventory accuracy.

Collaborate with the Product Team to anticipate inventory replenishment needs.


Ambassador Compensation and Sales Reporting: Process commissions for Ambassadors and conduct monthly audits.

Generate weekly sales analytics reports and other necessary reports.

Prepare annual 1099 forms and ensure compliance with IRS filing.

Oversee monthly and quarterly sales tax submissions.


KEY CUSTOMERS
Owners (financial management and reporting), Sales Team (analytics), Production (inventory and payments), Ambassadors (commission)

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business administration required
Experience in budgeting, financial forecasting, and/or inventory accounting preferred
CPA preferred
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Familiarity with QuickBooks Online is advantageous
Experience in an inventory-driven business
Meticulous attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
Strong analytical skills for data interpretation
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
