Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Delivery Driver to join our team at Airgas. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering compressed gas cylinders to local and regional business customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading: Safely load, unload, and deliver compressed gas cylinders to customer locations, ensuring accurate records and signatures.
  • Customer Service: Establish and maintain good customer relations, listening to and resolving service inquiries and complaints in a timely manner.
  • Communication: Provide timely communication to managers and customers regarding any changes or issues experienced during deliveries.
  • Logistics and Safety: Maintain accurate load manifests, vehicle documents, and safety standards, ensuring compliance with government regulations and Airgas safety protocols.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting deficiencies and ensuring all safety items are in good working order.
Requirements
  • Valid Class B Driver's License: Required for safe and efficient delivery of compressed gas cylinders.
  • Medical Examiner's Card: Valid medical certification for commercial driving.
  • Hazmat & Airbrake Certifications: Required for handling compressed gas cylinders and operating commercial vehicles.
  • Driving Experience: One year of prior Class B professional driving experience within the last five years, with a clean driving record.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
