Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinician Lead to join our team at Lutheran Social Services of New York - Safe Haven. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the clinical programs and services provided to unaccompanied minors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social work, psychology, or a related field, with significant experience in supervising clinical staff and providing direct services to immigrant young persons.

About the Role

This is a full-time, exempt position that requires a master's degree in social work from an accredited university or a related field. You must be licensed to provide clinical services in the State of New York and have a minimum of 2 years of post-master's experience providing direct services to immigrant young persons. Strong mental health background, bilingual skills in Spanish and English, and excellent communication and presentation skills are essential for this role.

The estimated salary for this position is $ $94,419 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

- Provides supervision and support to clinicians via individual sessions, staff meetings, and in-house trainings
- Monitors staff fulfillment of caseload assignments
- Approves timecards of clinical staff and addresses any changes in clinical staff schedules
- Performs initial intake and assessment for safety and trafficking concerns within 48 hours of each UC's arrival as needed
- Provides weekly individual counseling to UCs and ongoing crisis intervention as needed
- Participates in the hiring and training process for newly hired clinical staff
- Develops group counseling as needed
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations, as well as funder's requirements
- Becomes certified to facilitate trainings in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) for all Safe Haven employees

Requirements

- Master's degree in social work from an accredited university or a related field
- Licensed to provide clinical services in the State of New York
- Minimum 2 years of post-master's experience providing direct services to immigrant young persons
- Strong mental health background, bilingual skills in Spanish and English, and excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to establish a systematic course of action to accomplish specific objectives, determine priorities, and allocate time and resources effectively
