About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge systems design and architecture projects. As a Principal Systems Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and partnering with multi-disciplines to shape innovative solutions for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work on the Systems V Engineering life cycle while interfacing with various engineering disciplines, subject matter experts, chief engineers, chief technologists, and customers.
  • Collaborate with other Engineering disciplines to define requirements, interfaces, subsystem behavior, and integration into the overall system and architecture.
  • Establish the approach and implement the subsystem design and architecture while following established standards and procedures.
  • Apply knowledge of the subsystem and collaborate with other Engineering disciplines to develop and maintain subsystem requirements.
  • Interact with Technical SMEs as necessary to fully understand the subsystem, including identifying and resolving issues and supporting related subsystem trades or analysis.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8+ years of engineering experience.
  • S. government issued security clearance is required. S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Experience in one or more of the following: requirements definition, decomposition, specification writing, and/or maintenance with cross-disciplined Engineering teams.
  • Experience with internal and external interface design of digital, electrical, and/or mechanical subsystems.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with implementing architecture and designs with Model Based Systems Engineering tools.
  • Experience in missile systems design, integration, test, or flight demonstration.
  • Experience managing or guiding teams working architecture and design.
  • Experience using Agile framework development methods and processes.
  • Master's degree in Engineering or related discipline.
  • S. government issued Secret or above level Security Clearance.
