Key Responsibilities
  • Train and perform duties within all areas of the Service Department.
  • Work closely with experienced staff to gain knowledge about procedures, methods, and standards required to perform departmental duties.
  • Establish professional relationships with all customers.
  • Work directly with customers, as needed, to resolve any issues.
  • Assist the Service Manager in ensuring service repairs are performed correctly and efficiently.
  • Assist the Service Manager in supporting, training, motivating, and monitoring the performance of the Service Department staff.
  • Assist the Service Manager in attracting, developing, and retaining talent for the store.
  • Assist the Service Manager in maintaining service/customer areas with a focus on comfort, cleanliness, and proper displays/purchase information.
  • Coordinate with other departments and managers.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalency; bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred; or combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in oil and gas/industrial experience; Caterpillar experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in an effectively, timely, and professional manner.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly preferred: well-developed communication and organizational skills.
  • Highly preferred: proficiency in computers and related software.
Work Environment

The Assistant Service Manager will work in a fast-paced service environment, requiring the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. The position will require physical movement, as listed in the job description.
