Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Transmission Line Design Engineer to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing transmission lines to ensure efficient and reliable electrical power transmission. You will work closely with project teams, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to develop comprehensive design solutions for transmission line designs.

Responsibilities
  • Design and analyze transmission lines to ensure efficient and reliable electrical power transmission
  • Work closely with project teams, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to develop comprehensive design solutions for transmission line designs
  • Conduct feasibility studies, routing studies, create detailed design specifications, perform structural and electrical calculations, and participate in every stage of transmission line design projects
  • Develop a strong understanding of the transmission line design process and how to develop a final construction package
  • Gain proficiency in using design software tools such as PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, FAD, and LPLIE
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in engineering with a preference for a focus in Civil Engineering
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Passing the FE exam is preferred
  • Design engineering experience is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organization and planning skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
