Overview

NV5 is seeking a talented CAD Designer to join our Power Delivery Group in Phoenix, AZ. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing sketches, exhibits, permit designs, construction drawings, and related documents for underground and/or overhead electrical distribution transmission systems.

Responsibilities
  • Create detailed sketches, layouts, plans, and drawings for power delivery projects.
  • Develop, modify, and review drawings according to client and/or company drafting standards.
  • Review all work for completeness and accuracy prior to submitting for engineering review.
  • Participate in design review meetings.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of technical school education with CAD and civil/structural drafting/design or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated proficiency and working knowledge of the latest versions of AutoCAD.
  • 2+ years of experience in direct design and drafting work in the power delivery field involving substation and/or overhead transmission and distribution lines.
  • Automated Utility Design (AUD) experience is a plus.
