Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at The Christ Hospital Cardiovascular Associates. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support our physicians in delivering exceptional medical services.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain patient flow during clinic hours and ensure a smooth patient experience.
  • Document patient information, including vital signs, medical history, and medication lists, in our electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Assist with examination and treatment of patients under the direction of our physicians.
  • Prepare patient charts for visits, including scanning, abstracting, and reviewing diagnostic test results and medical records.
  • Refill medications and pre-authorize prescriptions as needed, communicating with patients, pharmacies, and insurance companies as required.
  • Perform basic triage and respond to patient calls and messages in a timely and professional manner.
  • Operate EKG and cardiac monitors, administer routine diagnostic tests, and perform other clinical duties as assigned.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following infection control procedures and adhering to legal regulations.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Practical nursing.
  • Current licensure in the State of Ohio.
  • 1-3 years of LPN experience, with physician office experience preferred.
  • Ability to provide culturally specific patient care and education.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
