Position Overview:
Diamond Peak Recruiting is in search of a detail-oriented and flexible Superintendent who will collaborate closely with the Project Manager to guarantee the effective execution of designated construction assignments. As the principal authority on-site, the Superintendent will oversee job site safety, maintain quality standards, and ensure adherence to the project timeline. This position will also act as the main point of contact with architects and consultants, resolving all field and constructability challenges. We are looking for a candidate eager for professional advancement as the organization grows.
Core Responsibilities:
- Daily Oversight: Manage and supervise all subcontractors, consultants, and vendors daily to ensure sufficient workforce and high-quality output.
- Project Scheduling: Organize and coordinate the schedules of subcontractors, consultants, and vendors to facilitate timely project delivery.
- Quality Assurance: Perform quality assurance inspections and address any discrepancies in the work being executed.
- Communication Management: Enhance communication with the project team regarding project plans, Requests for Information (RFIs), and material submissions.
- Scope Adherence: Ensure that subcontractors fully implement and comply with their assigned scope of work.
- Inspection Coordination: Arrange and oversee necessary inspections with local regulatory bodies.
- Safety Monitoring: Supervise subcontractor compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality regulations, addressing any violations promptly.
- Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve conflicts in construction progress, liaising with the project team for solutions.
- Daily Reporting: Maintain a thorough daily log of site activities.
- Deficiency Oversight: Ensure subcontractors rectify any deficiencies identified by the project team.
- Team Meetings: Conduct weekly meetings with subcontractors to coordinate efforts and resolve issues.
- Compliance Notifications: Issue notifications of non-compliance to subcontractors regarding quality or scheduling concerns.
- Site Maintenance: Ensure the job site remains clean and orderly at all times.
- Project Support: Assist with budgeting, bidding, and subcontract awarding processes as necessary.
- Documentation Management: Maintain up-to-date records of submissions, shop drawings, and construction plans on-site to ensure proper execution.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience Required: A minimum of three years of proven experience in a similar capacity. Comprehensive knowledge of trades and proficiency with computers and mobile devices is essential.
- Preferred Background: Experience with tenant improvements, restaurant renovations, and/or multifamily projects is highly regarded. Familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project, Outlook) is also beneficial.
