Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse - BSN to join our Perioperative team at Health First. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care, demonstrating a commitment to Quality/No Harm, Customer Experience, and Stewardship.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care according to professional nursing standards.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate interdisciplinary plans of care and promote effective communication.
  • Utilize Health First computer systems for order entry, order inquiry, and patient care documentation.
  • Document all nursing care, changes in condition, responses to therapy, treatments, procedures, and referrals on patient records.
  • Contribute to a positive patient experience through excellent customer service and education.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing with a BSN degree.
  • Current Florida RN licensure or endorsement.
  • AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Completion Card and certification(s) as required by specific unit.
  • Current PACU and/or critical care experience preferred.
  • Ability to speak and understand written and verbal instructions in the English language.
Physical Demands
  • Must have visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform clinical tasks.
  • Must have corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
  • Must be able to lift, turn, pull, push, or ambulate patients/equipment up to 90% of the assigned shift.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted up to 33% of the assigned shift.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop up to 90% of assigned shift.
Mental Demands
  • Must have ability to work in often stressful environment with patients/families at various ages and levels of understanding.
  • Must have ability to concentrate on multiple priority activities.
  • Must have ability to respond appropriately to life-threatening situations.
  • Must have critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Work Environment

This role is based in Florida - Brevard County-Melbourne and requires a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.
