Position Overview:
This role is integral in delivering essential financial support and assistance concerning accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting for designated departments.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily financial assistance related to accounting and financial reporting for assigned departments.
- Review accounts payable batches and conduct audits of payroll entries and departmental transactions.
- Collaborate with senior accountants to ensure accurate daily entry of general ledger transactions.

Work Schedule:
- Days: Monday - Friday
- Work Hours: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
- Hours Per Shift: 8
- Shifts Per Pay Period: 10

Employment Type:
- Full-Time Equivalent (FTE): 1.00

Essential Functions:
- Develop and monitor annual budgets in conjunction with department heads.
- Review and reconcile account balances for assigned departments.
- Prepare journal entries and budget amendments as necessary.
- Generate grant reports in compliance with relevant regulations.

Financial Compliance:
- Review and approve requests for checks and accounts payable batches, ensuring adherence to financial policies.
- Process positive pay information and reconcile monthly receivable accounts.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong mathematical and accounting skills are essential.

Skills Required:
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to make informed decisions consistent with policies and procedures.

Work Environment:
- The work environment is typically moderate in noise level, with reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.

Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and use hands for various tasks.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
