Job Summary: We are looking for a dedicated Support Staff for Student Success to join our team at Montclair Public Schools. As a key member of our educational support staff, you will play a vital role in supporting students' academic and personal growth, while maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in delivering instruction, providing behavioral support, and promoting social-emotional learning.
  • Supervise students during non-instructional times, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Help students develop independence in daily living skills, such as toileting and dressing.
  • Collaborate with teachers to plan and implement lesson plans, adapting materials to meet individual student needs.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to students, promoting positive relationships and behavior.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including attendance records, data entry, and communication with parents/guardians.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.

Requirements:

  • NJ Substitute Teacher Certification (CEAS, CE, or NJ Standard Certificate)
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including students with special needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly.
  • Willingness to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.

Estimated Salary: $50,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
