Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced truck linehaul specialist to drive freight between our terminals and customer facilities or work sites within a defined geographic area. As a key member of our team, you will ensure that freight is delivered in a claims-free and cost-efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive Safely and Efficiently: Drive tractor trailers to deliver and pick up customer freight while maintaining a safe and efficient driving record.
- Freight Handling and Management: Sort, handle, load, and unload freight at various company and customer locations while adhering to established procedures.
- Route Planning and Scheduling: Plan routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries and pickups while minimizing costs and maximizing efficiency.
- Administrative Tasks: Follow established pre-trip, post-trip, freight handling, and billing procedures while retaining and maintaining records, forms, and load-related paperwork.
- Customer Service: Serve as the first point-of-contact for delivery-related issues while providing excellent customer service and support.
Requirements
- A Class A commercial driver's license.
- A safe motor vehicle report and applicable endorsements, including hazmat, tankers, doubles, and triples.
- At least 1 year of tractor trailer driving experience.
- Experience operating a forklift and pallet jack.
- The ability to lift and move objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights.
Salary and Benefits
