Compensation: Pay range with certification - $18.25
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish barricades, cones, and necessary signage to create a secure flagging environment for our partners in the work zone.
- Transport equipment to and from designated work areas to ensure a safe working environment.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, operations, and clients regarding equipment usage and proper setup locations.
- Maintain job sites and equipment to uphold the highest standards of quality and adhere to The Trafficade Way.
- Interpret and comprehend specific plans and instructions to exceed client expectations.
- Make necessary field adjustments to ensure safety for clients, municipalities, motorists, and pedestrians in the work zone.
- Conduct pre and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
- Wear and maintain required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including Steel/Composite Toed Boots, Type 3 Reflective Vest, Hard Hat, Eye Protection, Gloves, and any other necessary gear (some PPE provided).
In a typical day or night, you may encounter:
- Working in live traffic conditions.
- Rapidly moving equipment to establish work zones efficiently.
- Exposure to outdoor weather conditions throughout the year, including extreme heat.
- High noise levels.
- Pedestrian traffic.
- Interactions with demanding clients, inspectors, and other stakeholders involved in the work zone.
- Continuous physical activity, including entering and exiting vehicles, climbing onto flatbeds, and performing twisting and bending movements.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds repeatedly and travel long distances within work zones.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills to address specific needs in the work zone.
- Capability to read and interpret instructions, plans, and maps related to work zone locations.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Excellent attendance and reliable transportation are essential.
- High School diploma or equivalent work experience.
- Valid driver's license is required.
- ATSSA Flagger Certification is mandatory.
- No prior experience is necessary; training and development will be provided.
Minimum Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle report that meets company standards.
- ATSSA Flagger Certification is required.
- Proficiency in reading and writing English.
- Strong communication skills.
