We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join our Wegmans team. As a Cook, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen staff and ensuring the highest quality food is prepared and served to our guests.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee kitchen staff and educate them on food preparation and presentation
- Lead by example and set the tone for an efficient work pace
- Prioritize tasks to ensure timely and efficient food preparation
- Accurately forecast restaurant needs and plan production lists
- Comply with applicable health codes and regulations
- 2+ years of experience working as a line cook
- Strong knife skills and experience working on multiple kitchen stations
- Enthusiasm for and knowledge of relevant ingredients and cuisine
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in culinary arts
- Experience leading a team and managing kitchen operations
- Experience with cooking Asian cuisine and working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
