We are seeking a skilled Sushi Line Cook to join our team at Wegmans Food Markets. As a Sushi Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking sushi dishes to a high standard, ensuring that every guest has an exceptional dining experience.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook sushi dishes to a high standard, using fresh and high-quality ingredients.
- Work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment, ensuring that all dishes are prepared and served on time.
- Collaborate with other kitchen team members to ensure that all dishes are prepared to a high standard and that the kitchen runs smoothly.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of sushi preparation techniques and ingredients, sharing knowledge with other team members.
- 1 or more years' experience working as a sushi/maki line cook.
- Excellent knife skills and attention to detail.
- Enthusiasm for and knowledge of relevant ingredients and cuisine.
- Associate or bachelor's degree in culinary arts.
- Experience handling sashimi-quality fish.
- Experience preparing sushi in a high-volume environment.
